Ava's first splash bath

In preparation to her visit to the pediatrician Aunty Stephy and I gave Ava her first wash at home. Ava did reasonably well but she really does not like to get her clothes changed:)
At the doctors she gained 5 oz in a day which was an incredible sign and doctor said she looks great and is super healthy. She did need some sunlight doctor ordered to ensure jaundice does not set in.

Ava on her way home 11/10/12

Ava and I were finally released from the hospital late afternoon November 21. The ride he was peaceful as I imagined the kids expression when get to meet their baby sister.
When we arrived the house was quiet, clean, and peaceful. Ava spent some time looking around her new nursery and memorized by Christmas tree lights.

More of Ava Renee

Two days old Ava continues to do well with feeding, snuggling, and making precious faces. She had dropped a bit in weight but not quite 7% so we ate doing well. My milk should come by tomorrow (72 hours after delivery) do we are looking good.

Moms been going through this recovery with a few serious not so great moments like the first time they make you get up; when they stop IV drugs, when they make you take a shower for first time since surgery, and last releasing you home; horribly challenging but so quickly forgotten when you look in Ava's eyes.

Ava's arrival 11- 17-2012

What an incredible surprise Ava bear born two days before scheduled time. I was having trouble with swelling and discomfort and lucky I went in because my blood tests were showing signs of stress.
Needless to say we were at hospital for 4.5 hours before dr confirming we could stay and it would be 4.5 hours later at 8:00pm she would be born via c-section.

Ava was born 7lbs , 3oz and 19 inches long. She came out crying but that did not last once she settled she was an absolute dream, quiet, nursing exceptionally well, peaceful countenance. I'm sooooo blessed!

Nurse treating me her name was Emily like my late moms and the nurse in recovery was singing worship songs upon our arrival ;-)
