2011 The Baker's are Beautiful

Today was historical as we took Tony and Mia out for a 6:15pm appointment to get their pictures taken.  You should have seen them all dressed up in their grandmother's finest and excited to be out with their mom and dad. I looked at my husband when we arrived and said "we have got to get Mia's pacifier out now and get the water works over before the pictures start."  Sure enough she bellowed loudly I think the customer's in the store beside us heard her scream.  I graciously coaxed her with a bag full of popcorn and things quieted down.  Antonio,  the opportunistic, decided to entertain the other customers with a tap dance (I had no idea he even knew what tap dancing was) it was great!  After several hours of chasing, huffing, pushing, pulling, smiling, laughing, crying, running, throwing popcorn on the floor; mommy I'm hungry, unplugging the center's computer after we made all of our selections and had to start all over; and several hugs and kisses later this is what we got:

Tony's new haircut!

Today was an exciting day with an amazing Sunday service on the premise in James chapter 1.  Tony spent the afternoon with his grandma where they met a bit of a stink on the McDonald's slide (another funny story for another day HA!). Mia spent the afternoon with a little Mommy and Me time with me and her daddy. Tony got his hair cut yesterday after his soccer game (military style).  I thought I would try something new and it worked out okay.  Let's be honest I think with that cute face he could even make a botched hair cut look good, just saying. This morning I got some new pictures of Mia and Tony dressed up nice for Church (See below.)  Our church is soon moving to their new building, my how it's growing.  It's nice to be settled into a ministry with a Pastor that has known us individually even before James and I were married.  The bussle of the new year has begun with James starting back with his classes, working full time, and providing for his family... a whole lot to take on with only a few hours in the day.  God will see us through.   Checkout the new church website   http://kingdomdominionchurch.com/?page_id=311.

Weekend with Cousin Aiden

Antonio had his first sleep over at his cousin Aiden's house this weekend.  They played and played until they almost crashed at 10pm.  Tony was so excited and filled with energy it took him a long while to sleep but he finally made it.  The next day Aiden came over to our house where the boys watched superman, dressed as superman, and tried to fly and fight like superman it was hillarious!

Mia's big girl bed has arrived

Amelia had a wonderful weekend transitioning to her new big girl bed.  She sleeps on the lower trundle bed for now which keeps her close to the ground all snug and secure.  The funnest part to Mia was being able to jump up and down on her new bed!  The fluffy and soft pink and brown blankets and pillows really compliment her gentle spirit!

Amelia turned two-years-old today!

Mia B's birthday weekend was filled with so much activity.  Saturday morning she enjoyed her brothers soccer game and visit to her brother's new school, North Cobb Christian Academy.  Shortly after she enjoyed a dinner with her grandmother and Aunty Kelly.  Later on that night she was greeted by her Aunty Seppy to give her many hugs and kisses.  Sunday afternoon it was cake with grandpa, Judith, and Aunty Mel. She completed the evening with a visit from mommy's friend Julie, her husband Paul, and her beautiful daughter Khloe (See pictures after this post of their fun visit).  Mia is awaiting her new big girl bedroom set that will arrive later on this week!  Wow it feels like yesterday I had my little princess.  I could not imagine my life without her, my beautiful Princhynella.  She is so full of joy day after day and we are so proud of how much she has grown.  My Mia and Tony are a vision, a dream, a blessing to our lives. Mia and Tony send a special thanks to family in New York for the Christmas gifts that arrived this week.

Dear friend from the past!

My mia b's birthday was so filled with surprises but the best of all was getting a chance to see my dear friend from twelve years ago, Julie and her beautiful family (husband Paul and eight month old daugher Khloe).  She was such a wonderful gift to my life twelve years ago taking me under her wing and teaching me about independence, a good work ethic, and how to be a supportive friend.  It's even more of a blessing to see the happiness the Lord brought to both of our lives through the years.  Thank you Lord for the opportunity to view the work of your love in our lives.   Check out the pictures of Khloe and Mia meeting for the first time.

Antonio MVP of Soccer

Antonio had an amazing Soccer Game on Saturday.  The coach mentioned during the recap that it was the Sharks best game ever!  Other parents were telling us Antonio was the MVP of the soccer game scoring nearly seven goals.  A quarter of the way through the game his shoes were falling off (too big for the socks).  I asked the coach if he could play in his socks and he said Yes.  After that Tony scored, scored, and scored some more.  Great play my little MVP!
